FAQs / Help

Will the Grotto be wheelchair friendly?

Yes, all entrances/exits will be wheelchair accessible. If you have any specific concerns then please contact us ahead of time and we will work with you to accommodate as best we can.

Will the sessions be suitable for SEN requirements?

Yes, we are only allowing individual groups into the Grotto during your booked slot. We will have lights and sounds playing throughout, but if you let us know in advance, we can make sure these are reduced/switched off prior to your entry.

Can we skip the Elevator experience?

Yes, we understand that some of our visitors might have personal reasons that require them to skip the Elevator part of the journey to Santa. We can accomodate this upon request, but if you're able to advise us ahead of your visit then this will help our team to speed up the process for you.

Does my child/ children go into Santa with other children?

No, Santa only sees one booked group at a time.

Can I bring a baby without paying for a present?

Every booked session will require at least 1 child ticket. However, if you have an additional baby in arms to accompany another child then they do not need a ticket unless they would like a present from Santa (and then an additional child space would be required).

Can I change the date/ time of my booking?

Yes, as long as the new date you would like is available then you can move your existing booking to a new timeslot. You can action this via your original booking details. If there are no alternative slots available then we will be unable to move your booking unless one becomes available.

Please note, this option will not be available on the ticket launch days Monday 9th - Wednesday 11th September.

Can I bring my dog in to see Santa?

Unfortunately, due to allergy requirements, we will not be able to allow dogs to enter our Santa’s Grotto experience. However, they are still welcome to accompany you throughout the garden centre.

How will I receive my tickets?

Your tickets will be sent to you digitally via email.

Do I need to print my tickets?

No, you can show your tickets on your phone or tablet. Printed tickets will also be accepted but are not required.

Can I buy a ticket on the day?

All of our slots will be available to book online in advance. We will not aim for on the day bookings, but the option is on the discretion of the grotto team pending space availability.

Is there car parking available onsite?

Yes, our garden centre has free car parking available for use by all customers and visitors to our Santa’s Grotto.

Where is the entrance?

The entrance to the Grotto will be directly via the car park near to our main plants entrance. This will be clearly sign posted upon arrival. Exiting the Grotto will take you into our plants department.

How long are the sessions?

The session is designed to last for approx. 10 minutes through various phases of the visit to Santa’s Grotto and the meeting with Santa himself.

What happens if I’m late?

We cannot guarantee entry to the Grotto for anyone arriving late, but will do our best to grant you access if we are able.

If you’re running late then we ask that you please contact us in advance to let us know so we can accommodate other groups in a timely fashion. We can be contacted on 01223 842777.

What gifts are provided?

We will have a range of gifts suitable for different age groups and interests. All gifts will be unwrapped and children will be able to select their own present from the options available.

What is your refund policy?

We are able to offer refunds for tickets, but will need at least 7 days notice prior to booked dates to allow for resale time.

Our tickets include a non-refundable Digitickets booking fee which will be reduced upon any refund requested. Please contact us if you require any further details on this point.
